I'm an electrician and I can tell you these pictures are very old. Most of these wouldn't happen today with ground wires, ground rods, enclosed electrical panels, etc.

These were common warnings uptil the 1940's when grounding practices improved saving many lives. Thank god for mans ability to adapt.
