Armageddon is the strongest beer of the world. It has 65 per cent alcohol which makes it 16 times more potent than a standard pub lager. It is brewed in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. One bottle of Armageddon beer costs around $130.

It's not really a beer anymore at 65% alcohol. It should be considered more like a port or a type of cognac.

But it does go to show how wimpy 5% alcohol beer is. German beers are common at 10% - 12% alcohol.

How does it taste?
Better taste like honey covered money or deep fried bacon at $130 a bottle.

Jimmy Johnson: german beer has usually 4.5-5.5 vol% alcohol. There are exceptions , ranging around 10-12 vol% but they are rather rare and not very common.

According to beertutor.com, at least 19 of the top 100 mass-produced strongest beers in the world are from Germany, ranging from 40% - 14% alcohol by volume. So 1/5 of that list puts German brewers up there with the highest alcohol content beers available for purchase.

Since a "strong" common beer in the US would be considered 6% - 7% alcohol by volume, we can safely assume, an easily available strong to regular beer in Germany is 10% alcohol by volume or higher.

Why don't you just stick to your Bud Lights - That's about where you hit at.
