woah there... If he keeps $1250 a month from his salary, he must be earning $15,000 per year and not $12,500, or he's not getting paid for 2 months of the year. And if he keeps $1250 from either $12,500, or $15,000 he isn't donating it.... Somebodies numbers are wrong.....!

,
I think you missunderstood. They probably meant that he earns $12,500 a month not a year. I wonder what currency it is though.

I am from Uruguay. And this post talks about dollars. His actual salary is about 250.000 uruguayan pesos. He donates aproximately 90% to finance housing plans.
edit: And yes, monthly salary.
off-topic: His dog name is Manuela and she misses one leg.

Uruguay is a small country. But is it correct a president of a country have so bad house? This is not about he, but about the image that he show for the world.
And about his personal security? Is this safe? Someone can kill he. But again, uruguay is a small country. In brazil, I don't think he can live like that, even if he want.

Hats off to this man.
Me knows where the priorities in life lay, and that even if he lives relatively poorly, there are people worse off than him.
As for security, who's going to kill a man with nothing to take but his life, and his dog? The next in his seat would probably just roll in the cash and fuck off the housing system.
Everyone loses!

Seems like good things, but let's get the facts straight instead of suggesting maybethis... or mistaken that...
