Moral of the story- Don't join the US army. Look at the pain he has caused to himself and all his family. And now he is being used by the government to create pro-war propaganda. These people should not be celebrated for being heros. He lost his limbs, that's tragic. But it's a tragedy that was unneccesary, and would not have happened if he hadn't enlisted. I mostly pity his family.

Americasux, whether he is a hero or not you are the one spitting venom. What kind of inhumane person wishes another person to "die in hell"? It is that attitude that supports and perpetuates war, violence, and inhumanity of one person against another. It doesn't sound as if you are a shining example of peace and goodwill. I think you should rethink who you are before you condemn others. 38

It's a tragic story and horrible for him and his family, but the way he's used as pro-war propaganda material sickens me. Since when has war (which just happens to involve killing people) anything to do with heroism?
This story shows us mainly two reasons why not to join the army of a country that is at war:
a) it's bad for your health
b) you might be exploited for propaganda reasons

Would be nice to see the same story from the other side.
innocent men, women, children Afghanistan that lost their legs, arm, etc and nobody care of them.
Travis was a soldier, it was his job. Killing people to get peace...hahahah very funny
As many of you i disagree on war.

USA are just using them as a propaganda

You see, that is what the country does to it's own people.. send them into hell, make them loose lives, loose mind or limbs.. and then they come back as heroes for one day.. and then what?? coping with hard life everyday until you die.. and I am not even talking about people that loose their everything in those countries where war is taking place.. PEOPLE, IT'S ALL UP TO US! DO NOT LET OURSELVES TO BE CONTROLLED BY VERY LITTLE PEOPLE, IT'S NOT THEM THAT SUFFERS, IT'S US! REFUSE TO JOIN ARMY, REFUSE TO KILL OTHER PEOPLE.

And the question for mil-dol, where is Afghanistan? What on fuck they are doing in Afgh, after all this years?? Maybe to get close to Russian oil !? After attempt of reaching for Rus-oil ,there is no need for this hart-breaking stories. Atomic explosion winds will bring your ashes to your beloved homeland,where- by the way-you are never there. DO YOU HAVE A START POINT to think about? Get the fuck out of the rest of the World, nobody wants you ANYWHERE !!!
