Ummm.....I know that India is crowded but what Acidcow should have specified was that this does not generally happen everyday....there were community riots somewhere down south of india and most of the commuters were coming back to their respective states.

#capt.huffnpuff I think 3rd class get to go inside on the luggage rack, and 4th and onward get to go on the roof.
#barracuda some of these pictures are the everyday existence for these poor people. Travelling on top of the train, or between carriages is quite a frequent occurence, as the rail system runs very well but cannot cope with the vast munber of people it must move daily.
