This has been all over the news up here in Alaska.

Apparently when a plane lands it gets a general inspection.
This particular plane used a Delta Airlines terminal.
Because Delta and Alaska Airlines have different in-house methods
of tracking repairs, an Alaska Air technician left a note at the repair site
so a Delta Technician would know that it was already documented and
going to be taken care of. That way there wouldn't be ten repair requests for the same repair. Unfortunately the Delta tech didn't wipe it off
the flap after seeing it.
