I can see a certain credit to the syling used here.
If nothing else, pic7, London Olympics 2012, is so much more preferable to the rubbish that they unveiled as our logo for the games.
I am sure that if this version had been used, a few more of us would be a little more confident of the UK doing a great job. Having to have to current logo explained, with it's 'arty' depiction of the number 2012 so that it made sense is not a flying start.
Maybe it's just me. Then again, maybe it's not!
