Bajau is an ethnic group that lives in Malaysia and consists of several closely related indigenous groups.
They are often called “sea gypsies” because of their nomadic seafaring lifestyle.
Despite many of them last years have settled on the land, in some regions there are communities of families that are still living off the sea without potable water and electricity, and landing only to bury their dead.
