since the "Aiguille du Midi" in the French Alps has a cablecar station at 3,777 m and a communication antenna at 3,842, this observatory cannot claim to be the highest built structure in Europe

That must have took some building , just to get the Materials up there would have been some feet in it`s self,.,.
