Manta rays are the largest known rays. For example, the largest manta ray having been more than 7.6 m (about 25 ft) across, with a weight of about 2,300 kg (about 5,000 lb). They live around coral reefs.
Don't worry, they are usually very friendly and not dangerous.

Awesome creatures. I caught a glimpse of one breaching the water on a visit to maui, really something to see, like to see one up close
