my first computer was a Timex/Sinclair 1000 .... you had to manually program games and store them on a cassette recorder in order to play them.
it only had 16mb of ram

some of these brought back memories ... 01

lol dang, a Commodore tape deck! That takes me back. C64 was my first computer. As a matter of fact, i started loading Beach Head off of that tape deck back in 1984 and I'm still waiting...

miscellaneous, The Timex/Sinclair 1000 didn't have 16MB of ram. it had 2kB. That is 1/8192 of the 16MB you stated.

Started with vic 20 and then c64, amiga, pc etc. Now I have a collection of oldies.

I worked for an Apple dealer when the Apple IIe was the big noise. It put me off computers for years afterward. Poor Adam......

Strange to see Henry Rollins in that Powerbook advert. Liking the happy look on the Windows 95 upgrade buyers face. Oh the crush of reality when he got it home. I must give it a go again sometime, as I still have a disk around here somewhere.

I still cannot believe how much I used to fit on my floppy disk!!! 09 I used to have pictures text files and even some games on ONE disk!! That bitch was 1MB!!! how is that possible?

moijk, I stand corrected, however my little sinclair had a memory pack add on
which gave me 16kb, not 16mb as I had stated earlier
