We have just had our annual model railway exhibition here in town, and as usual the sheer time an effort put in to every display was amazing.
The money involved too is pretty scary. One display featured several Eurostar and TGV trains, where each one was a collection of sets to create a realistic true to scale model, with one 'train' costing nearly a thousand pounds to create.
Sadly my photos this year were rather poor, trying to shoot one handed with a five-year-old hanging off my other arm, but previous years have netted some amazing views.
It is certainly one for 'after' children, and perhaps a better way of using your free cash than just pissing up the wall. Beautiful, skillful work.

I can only imagine the amount of patience , skill and yes, money would have to be involved to create something like this.....quite epic, really...
