pallets remind me of work... i think most of the things they made are clumsy. I think that the pallets are best used as firewood when they cant be used as pallets.

I would love to have some old pallets to break down and make projects from... unfortunately they don't seem to be easy to find just tossed aside in my area though.

Very handy and much cheaper than commercial wood. For that 'rugged' look.

Great ideas!! Very impressed. If you don't have any palets available you could always cut up regular 2 x 4 planks but free palets are better.

Unacceptable to most people until some upscale designer slaps his or her name on them and charges a ridiculous price for them. The pallets will still be warehouse cast-offs, but "Dolce & Gabana" stenciled on them will make them 'chic' in the eyes of the overfed & overprivileged. 35

Those palettes are very expensive and any carpenter can easily recycle them into high quality furniture. No one would simply throw away a perfectly good palette.... Most of the examples shown are actually clumsy.
