That is not representative of a school lunch in the UK. Speaking as a teacher in the UK.

The happy faces of the children who get the least is telling. The US food is a poor representation. That's South Korea. North Korea never sees fooe like that.

No wonder people in the US become obese. They are taught to eat slop at school and on TV. 100% Apple Juice. What that means is that 100% of the fruit is apple. It doesn't mention the added corn syrup. Look at the glutton and his tattoos of various fast food outlets in the dump today. That is what America is becoming. 13

This tells us that in some other poor countries that all they have for lunch if a simple bow of something without any meats or vegetable would make them happy. So get the facts straight, and dont fucking waste your food kids. Voracious is not a good idea too 01

This meals may not exist like that in some schools from that specific country they're representing, though is really sad the fact that on countris such Kenia, Honduras, Ghana and Djibouti, their meals are really poor - no veggies or meat, and just a little. Though we can see kids smiling for having at least a meal.
And people who lives on countries such european countries, US, etc should not complain about the food they have to eat - they should thank to who gives them enough to be fine everyday, without being hungry.

And well, USA is not surprising me again, ironically some may say: "Thats a good start if you want school kids even more fat than they are. Thanks for their meals on school."
America is so shameful.

As Saint Barbie said, I believe the fact that not on every US schools the meals are like the above, so greasy and stuff.

I never ate lunch on the schools I had been, though sometimes I ate breakfast on their bars. At least I never got there a food poisoning, lol.

some breakfast look good, but I do not think public schools can eat that way.
While there may be exceptions. In UAM, Mexico, the university dining room
is very affordable and the menu is pretty good.

about american school food: America declared Ketchup (yeah ketchup with all the sugar (yeah ketchup has much sugar in it)) as vegetable, just so the schools can say, we give the kids vegetables that they eat. 13

Yeah,, unless the school lunches have changed THAT dramatically since I was a kid, I don't recall ever having crap like fried chicken, chili cheese dogs, or nachos as my lunch.

That first American lunch obviously has additionally purchased items on it. The second and third look like photographs obtained from a homeless shelter. I used to volunteer with the special needs children in our school system and the meals looked nothing like that at all.

Holy crap - I grew up having a few sandwiches every day. I'd be in heaven with those type of things!

Meat for lunch = awesome day.
