Dang, I didn't know the Bronx had a beach. Looks like a good time there, big variety of folks to talk to.

Chick in # *8 is scary as hell

It was the only place to keep cool in the Bronx. You took the #6 train to the last stop and then the bus. There are also basketball courts, tennis courts and paddle ball. Most people think Central Park is the largest in NYC but it's actually Pelham Bay Park, which Orchard Beach is part of, at 2,700 acres. I had endless fun there as a kid. Thanks for posting.
