ofcourse they love it, their budget depends on war. the only reason they spend so much on defence is because they keep getting themselves in trouble. they cannot spend so much on defence if they not in a war, thats why they start them.

I am an American... and I neither crave or love war. However would you had rather everyone stand aside and watch the government of Libya kill its own people?

Edit: Out of curiosity I looked up and found who all the US gives "Economic and military aid." The US gives out a bunch of money to a lot of country's (176 on the
latest 2008 report) several were a surprise to me.

itstodd: You paint any metal to stop corrosion, no one wants corroded parts on a cruise missile! They are not made right before you use them. They sit in the ship for years before use.

Also - certain paints can also reduce drag. Over the distances and at the speeds they travel, that can save a significant amount of fuel.
