The second picture is actually a photograph of the first woman ever hung in the U.S.
She was found guilty of conspiring against the killing of President Abraham Lincoln. She was in cahoots with John Wilkes Booth. Just a bit of information for my first post on the COW. Cool thread.

Nice shots... also for budding history buffs, most photographers at the time would drag bodies around and pose them.
