The Antonov An-225 Mriya is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft, designed in the USSR in the 1980s. It is the world's heaviest aircraft. The design, built to transport the Buran orbiter, was an enlargement of the successful An-124 Ruslan.

I saw it at an air show in San Diego. It was isolated, with a perimeter line and guards all around it. The Americans rolled in a C5A and opened it for everyone to climb through it, willy-nilly. The crew when on a coffee break. 48

The next day, the Russians rolled the Antonove closer to the other aircraft, opened it to everyone too and then joined the Americans on their coffee break. 38
