I dont think they were so far off.
Considering the books being pumped into thier brains as an example...wearing a headphone while using the computer would be a very similar thing.
Try to guess what will be here 100 years from now, think of things you cannot even consider, since you haven't seen them yet.

Kids will be born as talking assholes with attitude, instead of waiting til they become teens... 07

some of these are wrong in actuality, but are quite close in concept

armored battle wagons, air ships, planes filling the sky, even an air marshal.

a little visionary if you ask me.... 04

The difference is that we now know what the plans are for ther next 50 years. There are many web portals updating us on what is happening in science and technology.

Many of these are quite accurate, especially if you don't take them so literally. Others, on the other hand, baffle me. #14, for example. In the year 2000, people will watch horses on stage?

In every picture, it is written "En L'an 2000" witch is French and translates to "In the year 2000" Not that it was't obvious... 10

@ #3

who would invent something that requires you to do more work than previously. of course theyre dreaming of a "lazier" future. you wouldnt buy a new replacement product that is more inefficient

Incredible how man kind is always pursuing its own imagination. This is not a futurology exercise, but rather a collection of ideas put in perspective to be pursued what makes them happen in the future.
