Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

Pics | 18 Feb, 2011 | Views: 7706 |  +25   |
I don't think it's ok for a teacher to say something like this.

"There's no other way to say this, I hate your kid."

Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

"Although academically okay, your child has no other redeeming qualities."

Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

(Your child is) "a complete and utter jerk in all ways."

Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

(I have a student that) "dresses like a streetwalker."

Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

(My students are) "out of contol," "rude, lazy, disengaged whiners," "rat-like," and "frightfully dim."

Teacher's Harsh Words(6 pics + 1 video)

"I hear the trash company is hiring."

have you spent any time around teenagers lately ? she's pretty much hit the nail on the head, parents are upset because they know it's true and they feel like failures because they're too apathetic to raise their own children.

A teachers' job is to teach the prescribed curriculum. They're not there to be surrogate parents.

To be a teacher you have to handle with those things, there are always rude students (like I was 07 ) she is just sharing her feelings, I don't know much about the whole story, but a teacher can't be That wrong

I agree with all that she says. Children today are miserable, lazy and selfish. And the parents are worse. Although, I will say that maybe keeping a blog about it wasn't smart. Maybe writing a book after a retirement would've been smarter.

Teenagers today are little ass holes that think they are entitled to shit right off the bat. I agree with the teacher 100% although there are better ways of getting that point across.

I know exactly how she feels even though I am a student and I admit that I am quite the expert in riling teachers up.... They are so easy to annoy when you know how to push their buttons!! I find it quite entertaining!! 26

astroboy3000 used his first ammendment right to free speech. I agree with him and most of the posters that she is expressing her feelings and has every right to do that. Put them all in uniforms and bring back the yardstick, I know a teacher at an artschool in Boston who had a student answer her cell phone in class and was miffed that he asked her to shut it off. She raised her hand as if to say "can't you see I'm on the phone". Tha language used by these adolesants is terrible and they have no regard for others. My son-in-law quit rather than teach at the high school level.

I doesn't really matter if she is right or not, she has the right to speak her mind, and doing it on a personal blog is more than ok! 04

Like her lawyer said, she broke no law. She has her opinion and now everyone knows it. If she does a good job, then let it be. The court of public opinion will have a big influence in her future.

she has some valid points. kids today make the job even harder than it ever was. I do however wonder what her attitude is in the class room. It kind of sounds like she is just throwing her hands up in the air and saying that kids today suck it is not my fault that they are little gang banging lazy jerk offs.

Teachers I believe have an obligation to at least TRY to find a way to get her troubled students motivated to behave learn and grow and as valid as her anger and disgust is she is acting like a judge and jury in character court. The real work needs to start and practiced at home.

I think it was in poor taste for her to allow her comments to be found by a student. Her blog should have been 100% anonamous.....no first name no initials and NO PICTURES of herself period.

I do agree that these kids need to be accountable for their actions and suffer tough penalties when they are disrespectful or behave like street thugs and the parents and the school administration need to stand by and support their teachers when punishment is handed out instead of parents yelling at teachers because they think their little johnny is perfect.zx
