Some people hate it, but I still stand by it and say that HDR is beautiful, even with all the crazy oversaturated colors.

I hate how everyone is getting the impression that this is what HDR is supposed to look like. The photographers are wrecking it in post-production. A good HDR shot will look like a normal picture under ideal lighting conditions.

The whole point of HDR is actually that it's supposed to make a photo look *more* realistic by balancing out the color tone & brightness so that it looks more like your eyes see it rather than how a camera sees it.
These photos, while pretty in their own ways, are not the best examples.
