The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is a twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter. Its top speed of 170 knots (196 mph, 315 km/h) was faster than contemporary utility and attack helicopters of the 1960s.

I asked a native Alaskan friend of mine what Chinook meant, he said it's a word used to describe a "warm wind". Seems fitting.

well, they should call them puke hooks, because every time I flew in one at least a few people puked. Very uncomfortable to fly in
