This prison is located in Perm county, Russia. There are dozens of such prisons that are still in use but this one was abandoned in 2005. Let's take a look inside to see some spooky images.

Abandoned for only five years, in the god-forsaken arse end of nowhere, and someone has still been in to start stripping out the place.

Wood burns, don't leave it laying about, I suppose.

I agree with Patty, now THAT's a prison! looks like it would be freezing like hell. In North America they're more like hostels - the homeless actually commit petty crimes to get free room & board, TV, PlayStation, exercise room for the winter.... not much of a punishment for criminals.
