Well in "Soccer" you use your feet. In American football you use your hands for the most of time. It should be called Handball.

Here in Argentina you can't buy alcohol in stadiums and we have bigger problems that fights with the police. Here the "barra bravas" (ultra/ hooligan in Arg.) are just like a mafia with the fighting, the shooting, the killing, big money, politicals in the middle.

Before soccer became more than a kid's game in North America, there was football. It was called "football" because the regulation size of the oblong ball was measured at 12", hence the name "football".
They couldn't call it "football soccer" in North America. I hope that clears things up for the eurofags.
