Okapi is a member of the giraffe family that looks like a cross between a zebra and a giraffe. There are 10,000 to 20,000 okapis living in the forests of Congo. And it's the only place on the planet where these animals can be found in the wild.

As a child they were my favorite animals in the zoo (because their stripes.) 01
little info: Okapis belong to the family of giraffidae (like giraffes) and not to the equidae (like zebras).
