What a sad place. Pata Zoo can be found on the top floor of the Pata Shopping Mall in Bangkok, Thailand. More than 200 exotic animals live in tiny dark cages. Entry costs $6 and afterwards you realize that you made a contribution to this animal prison.

Heartbreaking. They're all soo cramped. I wouldn't be surprised to know that the six dollars you pay for admission don't go towards taking proper care of these animals.

These animals should be rescued and sent to a decent zoo to live out their lives. They must be neurotic living in dark cramped conditions.

I have seen zoos in the US that were no better.

Edit: This was back in the 80's and I know at least a few of them has improved.
