Sculptures of Homeless People (19 pics)

A Danish artist Jens Galschiøt created these natural size bronze sculptures of homeless people and brought them at the European Parliament (Brussels) as part of campaign "Ending homelessness is possible! How can the EU effectively contribute to the fight against homelessness?".

The funny thing is, the welfare system in Denmark is so well-built, being homeless is a lifestyle choice.

Dipping homeless people in bronze and creating permanent homeless statues, ...I gotta give it to him...genius. 37
though its sad that the statues only lasted two days, once the rest of the homeless population that escaped the initial round up realized that they can recycle the statues and make money ...saddly they were gone. 11


My second theory is --that since denmark does not have any homeless of their own , they place these statues out, so the rest of the world thinks its a crappy place to live... 07 04
