As you know, Zimbabwean dollars don't cost anything.
That's why the locals use American dollars to trade.
One dollar bills change hands until they fall apart.
Some of them become too smelly to handle, because people hide them in underwear and shoes when they walk through crime-ridden slums.
And the locals have found a great solution. Money Laundering. Literally.
Zimbabweans say the U.S. notes do best with gentle hand-washing in warm water.
But a 45 minutes cycle of a washing machine is also good.
