My excuse for #89 is money. Climbing mt. everest is a bit of a joke at this stage. Its a tourist trap, and costs $25000 to summit for an individual (will be $11000 in 2015) and $10000 (per person) if youre in a larger group. Add the cost of flights, accomodation etc and you can see why only fairly rich people can go (except sherpas). And if you undertake such a trip and pay that much money the sherpas will surely try very hard to bring you to the top.
As for the deaths, most of them happen now due to people queing up to go as there are only 2-3 good days to summit. People die waiting in line for several hours in very cold conditions and freeze to death. Its definitely not the Everest from the 'good old days' anymore. If you want to make it today, bring cash, lots of it... and something to pass the time as you wait in line.

#88 2000 does not belong here, it was something parallel to 98, but Win ME is forgotten - the one with similar history with Vista (nobody remembers, Win 8/8.1 will be possible the same with Win 10 from next year).
