What's it doing alone and in there?! Did someone fish it out?

Sorry, we have the same problem here in Norfolk except with pike instead of crocs. Some pikes just decide to camp out in places where people toss bread for waterfowl and snap their jawns on them. As a rule, some of us fish out those that cause a threat (esp. since we have some rare bird breeds and such).

It's terrible, even though ducks are a vicious and territorial lot, they're pretty amazing. Most ducklings follow close to their mothers, makes me wonder what happened to this one.
