It looks like Emma Watson was having a pretty bad day in this picture. A fan approached her at the airport looking for an autograph and she just kept on walking with an angry look on her face. Better luck next time kid.

Shes getting a bit big headed... she should know better. If only she had the personality of hermione granger she wouldnt have snubbed him.

I bet a lot of people thought she was a different class of celebrity, but thats not true by the looks of it.

Aindy,

So what you're saying is that you are confused about the meaning of the word "fiction", and are unable to distinguish fantasy from reality. I understand. This is very common among approximately 7 billion of the people on our planet.

Your confession also states that you are willing to judge a person's character from a few photos and a complete stranger's perception of another complete stranger, though that perception is likely in the extreme to to be ignorant, misguided, and/or highly biased. Well played, Aindy, Master of Wisdom, well played.

velio70,
Sometimes you need to grow up and not insult people based on their appearance. Infact, that is a large part of growing up....

tacet,
Now that truly is a surprise; another person who could not be more wrong. Not only did you misinterpret and misconstrue, you managed to fit in an exclamation point at the end, which adds substantial emphasis. Nice touch.

Contrary to your comment, I did not remotely do what Aindy did. I stated an opinion of what I see people do every day, which is to confuse fantasy and fiction; my comment was on the actions of people, not their character. Then I extrapolated my opinion, right or wrong, to what I believe happens worldwide every day.

You also seem to be under the misapprehension that I called Aindy's character into question; wrong again. I stated an opinion of his words, which are available for all to see, and his act, which was to post a fatuous comment in a public forum. This appears to be the reason you mistakenly used the word "hypocrite".

Back to my original post, Aindy claims that he is somehow able to wholly judge Emma Watson based on a few photographs; e.g. "I bet a lot of people thought she was a different class of celebrity, but that's not true by the looks of it."

So Aindy concluded, using the vast wealth of knowledge he gleaned from 4 pictures containing a person who may or may not be Emma Watson, pictures he found on the internet mind you, that she is not the class of celebrity he magically conceived her to be. Did Aindy have intimate knowledge of her personality prior to the photos being taken? Because only then could he opine about a before-and-after contrast. Was Aindy present and listening to the conversation between the 2 people in the photos? Did Aindy ask Emma why she appears to be walking away from a fan? Did Aindy ask the fan whether or not he was harassing Emma? If yes is the answer to all of these questions, I stand by my statement that Aindy is, in this situation, a Master of Wisdom.

But I will play devil's advocate for you. You could say my opinion, that the majority of humans muddle, that is not to say muggle, the line between fantasy and fiction, as well as act out of prejudice and ignorance, is wrong, and that most people learn the facts before jumping to conclusions. Then possibly we could have a serious debate, though the odds, not to mention history, would be greatly against both you and the woefully vacuous Aindy (there, now I am guilty of ad hominem).

Perhaps this will help you better understand the difference between judging character, and judging words and actions. If so you have been properly schooled; if not I have failed, but am willing to try again. 13

I will plagiarize Christopher Hitchens by saying if I fail again, it seems I would have been representing the devil, as it were, pro bono.

boink,
You, my succinct friend, are absolutely correct. Even the most inane and unintelligible prattle can tax one's attention, retention, and comprehension.

I shall apply Occam's razor, the principle that extolls us not to multiply unnecessary contingencies, or, to be more concise, the principle of economy.

I shall also dumb it down just for you, ol' buddy ol' pal ol' friend o' mine:

Aindy and tacet are retards.

Better?

Bitofinger, So, I take it you decided to break out the thesaurus and dictionary and start using words and phrases that made you look smart. I also used to do this and allow me clue you in, you look like an asshole. Shall I prattle on, or am I taxing you? When you want to insult someone, call them ignorant or misguided and then try to justify your opinions by way of a very long, convoluted and arrogant rant, you should at least try to make your most relevant points at the top. Think of a hypothesis. You could state your objective first and then prattle on and tax everybody with a tl;dr that, hell, even I didn't take the time to read fully and it was an insult aimed at me. Seriously though, you did exactly to Aindy what you said he was doing to Emma Watson. I know, I know, you love her so much and you are a huge Harry Potter fan. Girls like you tend to all be the same. Stay strong, sister and fight the good fight! Prithee!
