I really don't know who Anton Newcombe is, but he could go f*ck himself. Indeed, Eric Clapton has learnt a lot from J.J. Cale and is popular for covering many of his songs (Cocaine,...), but he's a gloriuos guitar player, having also a lot of very good own pieces of fine music. It's not losing a child, what made him earn the nick 'Slowhand'...

As for #9 or #10 - I was sure, that in the comments here, someone will mention how cool Dave Grohl's quote is. Because everybody nowadays seems to deeply adore him. Well.. The quote is non specific and doesn't really say much - it's something every randome dude could say. I love Nirvana's music, but it was not him, being the person behind it. Proof is the (imho) rather mediocre music, made by the Foo Fighters.Except for one or two musically-nice songs, it's the same stuff over and over again.
