Tom Cruise is known for being a little crazy because he likes to do some of his own stunts. Recently while filming the new Mission Impossible movie he held onto the door of a Airbus A400M Atlas as it flew 5,000 feet above the British countryside. This man is insane.

Since he's worth millions of dollars, and he was strapped on, it's not really that death defying is it?

Nick1090,
Well, considering, that any one of about a million things could have gone wrong, yes, it was. And of course he was strapped in. Even the stupidest stuntman wouldn't do this without being strapped in. This IS NOT easy to do and is IS very dangerous.

He also really dangled from the side of that terrifying Burj Dubai building for Mission Impossible 4. I get dizzy just looking at pictures people took from the top of it.

"Death Defying"?? No, it is not. Sure, Cruise is worth millions but the stunt is a stunt. There are probably several more fail safes built in for the actor versus a stunt person, but the actual "death defying" is pretty low. he is double strapped, likely chuted, behind a baffle, 5k up (chute distance for emergencies) on a cargo plane that isn't exactly moving at Mach1. big deal.
