Vanna White did NOT pose for PLAYBOY, nor did she give specific consent for her pre-fame modeling photos (sheer lingerie) to be published in PLAYBOY. The photos were sold to PLAYBOY after "Wheel of Fortune" (debut: 1982) made her a household name.

Like most models of that era, she naively signed a blanket release with a fashion photographer who could legally exploit those photos in perpetuity......without further compensating the model.

I believe I read (VERY long ago) that Vanna was doubly offended by the publication of her sheer lingerie photos because she and her pre-fame boyfriend were regular attendees at Playboy Mansion social functions and pool parties. Hefner and she were casually acquainted, and she felt that he betrayed a friendship by publishing the now-embarrassing photos.
