The one on the Kia Pride is actually a handle, so you can carry it indoors to stop dogs walking off with it thinking someone's left them a toy.

Safety first.

2. The owner didn't think about the aerodynamics or structural integrity of his spoiler.
Firstly, the supports are too close together, which will result in deflection of the material, causing uneven performance characteristics.
Secondly, plywood construction is subject to degradation due to wind, moisture, humidity, etc... Unless it is treated (such as pressure or chemically) for outdoor use which does not seem to be the case.
Thirdly, the angle of the spoiler will provide absoluty no down-force, instead it will cause the rear end of the car to lift, judging by the upward pitch of the leading edge.
Lastly, Chrysler K Cars were front wheel drive, so this contraption, even if it could produce downforce, would cause the front end of the car to lift thus reducing steering and control.

Should I pontificate about the DUCT TAPED spoiler/bumper? I think not. Were these pictures taken in a WallMart parking lot? 21
