During a firefight with Kurdish militias of the Kurdistan Workers' Party a Turkish soldier named Mustafa took a bullet. Luckily for Mustafa the bullet didn't get very far though as much of its momentum was stopped by his iPhone. The bullet hit the phone and in the end the little device ended up saving his life. To say thank you for his service, the Turkish President's administration sent a brand new iPhone to Mustafa's hospital room.
Livia is an 80 year old woman and she recently became an Internet sensation. She asked her granddaughter for a little bit of help with her makeup and her granddaughter found a way to make her look 20 years younger. Now the Internet is referring to her as Glam-Ma.

In 1960 demolition crews explored an old abandoned London mansion formerly owned by Thomas Theodore Merlin. In the basement they found thousands of strange wooden boxes with had been sealed. Once they finally got the boxes opened they found something shocking inside. The boxes contained the bodies of some strange looking creatures that look like something out of a twisted fairy tale.
Photographer Brice Portolano put together a series of photos called "Arctic Love" which takes a look at people who have left their busy lives behind in order to get closer to nature. The photos tell the story of a girl named Tinian who lives 300 kilometers from the nearest town in northern Finland.
