Thai triathlete Panupong Luangsa-ard spent two years walking 500km with an 18kg pack on his back. He did it because he was trying to help Google capture images of Thailand's hard to reach areas. A representative from Google said that he burned through four different pairs of shoes on his journey.

Martine Gingerich of Toronto was walking along Lake Ontario when she noticed a woman holding on to her dog. She approached the woman and realized that she was trying to save a tiny mouse that had fallen into the water. The rescue mission was a success and the mouse lived to fight another day.
