These photos were taken in Tianducheng, a residential community built in on the outskirts of Hangzhou in eastern China. Apparently there’s only 2,000 people living there now, which seems rather sparsely populated for what they must be hoping will be a tourist attraction.

Has anyone seen this bizarre little community (or know more about it)?

The Boeing 747 is a widebody commercial airliner, often referred to by the nickname "Jumbo Jet". It is among the world's most recognizable aircraft, and was the first widebody ever produced. Manufactured by Boeing's Commercial Airplane unit in the US, the original version of the 747 was two and a half times the size of the Boeing 707, one of the common large commercial aircraft of the 1960s. First flown commercially in 1970, the 747 held the passenger capacity record for 37 years.

A piranha is a member of a family of omnivorous freshwater fish which live in South American rivers. In Venezuelan rivers they are called caribes. They are known for their sharp teeth and a voracious appetite for meat, although they do not kill prey; they are scavengers.

Cathie Jung wore her first corset for her wedding in 1959. Now she wears it 24/7, and when it becomes loose fitting, she would wear a smaller one. The result? She now has a 15-inch waist.

They say life in prison is tough. Well, not in every prison. Take a look at this one in Norway. I guess this is the kind of prison where you don't have to think about how to avoid getting anally raped every night.

A person was driving to work at highway speeds when he/she heard a very loud pop in the engine bay and pulled over. After popping the hood, it became immediately obvious what was wrong. A co-worker saw the owner of the vehicle on the side of the road and stopped to help out. The co-worker that stopped had a camera on hand and snapped the pictures below.

This ring is made out of a quarter by flattening the edge with a spoon or machinist hammer, then after drilling a hole and polishing the center is dremmeled out. A sanding disc is used to smooth out the inside and sized it to fit. After it's a complete you have a pretty neat looking ring.

Back in the 60s and 70s, the VW Micro-bus had quite the hippie reputation, with flower power and home-grown pharmaceuticals being part of the mystique that helped make the real original minivan a 1960s icon. For the owner of a 1958 double panel restoration project, the drug connection hit a little close to home. When checking out the undercarriage of his new purchase, TheSamba forum member Joshua B. found 14 LBS of marijuana stashed away. While we can't provide an exact street value of such a find (if you can, let us know in the comments) we can assume that it's a hell of a lot more than the value of this rusted out old groove-mobile. If you plan on trying to contact Joshua about his find, don't bother, he already disposed of it. If anything, we can say that marijuana definitely kills enough brain cells to forget all about storing 14 LBS of chronic under a VW, which doesn't seem like something someone would ordinarily forget about. It doesn't take Fred, Velma, and Shaggy to figure out that these forgetful smugglers are total rejects.

International Working Woman's Day (IWD) is marked on March 8 every year. It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women.

Started as a political event, the holiday blended in the culture of many countries (primarily Russia and the countries of former Soviet bloc). In some celebrations, the day lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their love to the women around them in a way somewhat similar to Mother's Day and St Valentine's Day mixed together. In others, however, the political and human rights theme as designated by the United Nations runs strong, and political and social awareness of the struggles of women worldwide are brought out and examined in a hopeful manner.

The IWD is also celebrated as the first spring holiday, as in the listed countries the first day of March is considered the first day of the spring season.

Makela Auto Tuning just finished one hell of a restoration job on a 1984 Toyota Celica Turbo Group B rally car. They started with one banged up shell that you see up there, and miraculously transformed it back into this beauty. The car is a restoration of the Celica driven by Juha Kankkunen in the 1985 Hong Kong-Beijing Rally. For more pictures, continue reading...

At a first glance this car might look like a garbage truck from outside but it is in fact designed as a sort of a cross between a mobile home and an off-road vehicle. It’s a Terra Cross "Home on Wheels" manufactured by UNICAT. This "Home on Wheels" has everything you need, an office, beds, bathroom, kitchen and storage space plus today you can live on the beach, and tommorow in the middle of a city (of course if you can park). The particular model displayed here is the EX63HDI MAN TGA 6×6, and if you want to see other models you can check UNICAT website. In conclusion this "home on wheels" would be a perfect choice for someone who decide to travel around the world, or who just like to travel. Now let’s take a look and admire the inside of this "house on wheels".

belonging to the subfamily Cricetinae. The subfamily contains about 18 species, classified in six or seven genera.

The name hamster is derived from the German word Hamstern, itself from earlier OHG hamustro, from ORuss choměstorǔ, which is either a blend of the root of Russ khomiak "hamster" and a Baltic word (cf. Lith staras "hamster") or of Iranian origin (cf. Av hamaēstar "oppressor").

Behavior can vary depending on their environment, genetics, and interaction with people. Because they are easy to breed in captivity, hamsters are often used as lab animals in more economically developed countries. Hamsters have also become established as popular small pets.

Hamsters are crepuscular. In the wild, they burrow underground in the daylight to avoid being caught by predators. Their diet contains a variety of foods, including dried food, berries, nuts, fresh fruits and vegetables. In the wild they will eat any wheat, nuts and small bits of fruit and vegetables that they might find lying around on the ground, and will occasionally eat small insects such as small crickets or mealworms. They have elongated fur-lined pouches on both sides of their heads which extend to their shoulders, which they stuff full of food to be brought back to the colony or to be eaten later.
